With this dog house, Jamie B. Myer, Architect, is bringing Snoopy into the 21st century. "I design modern rooms, homes and landscapes," Myer says, "but I've noticed that there is a lack of dog houses on the market to complement this style. Since most people treat their dogs like family, why shouldn't the dogs be reflected in the overall design plan?"
Inspired by his two Transylvanian Hounds, affectionately nicknamed the "Bat Dogs," Myer wanted to make a sleek and elegant dog house to match his modern aesthetic. The house is made of aluminum and translucent corian, which are both durable, easy to clean, recyclable and recycled-content materials. The house features an indoor living space where dogs can be protected from bad weather, as well as an outdoor porch. As Myer explains, "A dog trainer once told me that some dogs just like to see the sky." Hence, the Bat Dog house incorporates light indoors and outdoors, so that dogs everywhere can see the sky while lounging in the luxury that man's best friend deserves. The design is adjustable for climate zones with an operable window, and can be ordered with dual-glazed insulated walls for cold weather applications.
The Bat Dog House will be available for order shortly. Some assembly required. Available in two sizes for dogs large and small.
