Complete overhaul of front & rear gardens for a house in Washington, DC. This effort was a collaboration with one of the clients, a dedicated gardener. The planting plan includes natives, herbs, shrubs to screen problem views & seasonal flowers.
The rear yard was designed to be dog-proof, including stone & hardy groud cover. Most notable was the demolition of part of the existing driveway to make room for raised planting beds (visible in View 3) for the homeowner's vegetable & cutting flowers. The raised beds are designed such that the driveway is still useable by SUV.
